That is why they get bullied too much. :’)

Phenomena dreams

Friedrich August Von Keekule had a dream of whirling snakes, of the structure of benzene the organic chemical compound made up of a ring of carbon atoms.

As an infantryman ,Hitler (in WorldWarI) had a dream that he was being buried under a pile of earth and red-hot iron. He woke up in his trench and immediately wanted to leave it. He had hardly left his trench when a shell hit the trench killing his fellow soldiers.

One of the most famous dream interpretations of all time is that of the pharaoh. He had a dream that seven fat cattle came out to feed followed by seven lean cattle, which devoured the fat cattle. After this, seven ragged ears of corn ate seven good ears of corn. Joseph said that it meant that there would be seven good years of plenty followed by seven years of famine.

Why do dreams occur? Does a dream mean anything? Can dreams forecast future?

A dream is the experience of envisioned images, sounds, or other sensations during sleep. The events of dreams are often impossible or unlikely to occur in physical reality, and are usually outside the control of the dreamer. The exception is lucid dreaming, in which a dreamer realizes that he or she is dreaming—being sometimes even capable of changing the oneiric reality around him or her and controlling various aspects of the dream, in which the suspension of disbelief is broken. Dreamers may experience strong emotions while dreaming. Frightening or upsetting dreams are referred to as nightmares. The scientific discipline of dream research is oneirology.

Dreams have a long history both as a subject of conjecture and as a source of inspiration (artistic or otherwise). Throughout history, people have sought meaning in dreams. They have been described physiologically as a response to neural processes during sleep, psychologically as reflections of the unconscious, and spiritually as messages from God or predictions of the future. It is said that if you have a dream that you are falling it is said that you are probably worried about something. Also if you have a dream about yourself winning the lottery it is said that you are unhappy with your financial status.

Psychologist Joe Griffin, one of the founders of human givens psychology, has proposed the expectation fulfilment theory of dreaming. On the basis of a 12-year study, Griffin claims that dreams are expressed in the form of sensory metaphors.[1] [2] In a New Scientist interview, Griffin stated that “…ordinarily dream sleep does a great housekeeping job for us [,] bring[ing] down our autonomic arousal level.” Griffin’s expectation fulfilment theory of dreams states that dreams are metaphorical translations of waking expectations. Expectations which cause emotional arousal that is not acted upon during the day to quell the arousal, become dreams during sleep. Finally, he holds that dreaming deactivates that emotional arousal by completing the expectation pattern metaphorically, freeing the brain to respond afresh to each new day.

Both Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung identify dreams as an interaction between the unconscious and the conscious. They also assert together that the unconscious is the dominant force of the dream, and in dreams it conveys its own mental activity to the perceptive faculty. While Freud felt that there was an active censorship against the unconscious even during sleep, Jung argued that the dream’s bizarre quality is an efficient language, comparable to poetry and uniquely capable of revealing the underlying meaning. Fritz Perls presented his theory of dreams following the holistic nature of gestalt therapy. Dreams are seen as being projections of parts of oneself. Often these are parts that have been ignored, rejected or even suppressed. One aim of gestalt dream analysis is to accept and reintegrate these. The dream needs to be accepted in its own right - not broken down and analysed out of existence.

Researching how does dream are formed.

What purposes can lucid dreaming serve?
Those are so many. First of all, it is lots of fun. You can do whatever you feel like, without putting yourself in danger, or spending a lot of money on journeys or expensive equipment. It is great for therapy if you have any psychological problems. If you have a fear of spiders, that fear can be conquered through Lucid Dreaming. You know you are totally safe in a Lucid Dream. So you carefully begin with tiny spiders far away, and as you get used to them, you might let them go closer and make them bigger. If there is something you want to get better at, like Tennis or Snowboarding, then Lucid Dreaming can improve your skill. Lucid Dreaming can be extremely powerful for motor skill enhancement. This is not only true because of the vividness of the imagery, but also because the physiological nature of REM sleep is ideal for establishing neural pattern without actual movement. Experiments also show that you can get physically stronger with mental training. Lucid Dreaming can be used for healing if you have any illness. If you wish to have your subconscious read at a rate of 1 million words per minute, you can activate that in a Lucid Dream to gain conscious awareness over the knowledge. You can meet the author of the book you just read in a Lucid Dream, and ask questions you are seeking answers for in the book. Or you can sit down and watch the whole novel on a big screen TV with cinema 3D sound. You can use Lucid Dreaming for solving a complex and difficult problem, like mathematical problems. You can share a dream with a friend. Or even a whole group of people. So you can hang out with your friends when you are sleeping too, not only when you are awake. It is also great being a group of people trying to Lucid Dream. If you find your friends in a dream, you can tell them that they are dreaming. This way can you help your friends gaining Lucidity, and they might cause you to gain Lucidity if they find you. If you have full conscious control over a dream can you also use it to travel in time. You can explore the future. Even shared precognitive dreaming is possible. With a little practice can you also use Lucid Dreaming to leave your body and explore the world. By doing this you can also meet other spirits and travel in time. More about this can be found in the Out of Body Experience FAQ.
